Villa Celina — a contemporary villa in Los Arqueros

Overview

I'm the seller of this house, so I'll be upfront about that. We built it through Soulhouse after a six-to-seven-year search for the right plot, with Consjumo as builder, Juanma Sayago as architect and Swedish designer Jonna Högnäs (Interior by Design) on the turnkey interiors.

The idea was simple: clean Scandinavian lines, a lot of daylight, and indoor and outdoor living that actually work together. Three levels, with the main living floor opening straight onto the terrace, garden and pool.

Location

Los Arqueros is a quiet, established and secure community in Benahavís, surrounded by green and with open mountain views. San Pedro is about 5 km away and Marbella about 15 km. Several golf courses, international schools and Puerto Banús are a short drive.

It's the kind of place where you get calm without being far from anything — which is why we chose it.

The property

Built to Passive House standard, with underfloor heating and cooling throughout. The main level has open-plan living and dining around a contemporary fireplace, a kitchen with its own entrance, and a home office.

Upstairs, the principal suite has its own fireplace and a private terrace with views of the mountains, the valley and a glimpse of the sea, plus two more en-suite bedrooms. The lower level has a fourth en-suite bedroom, a lounge with a bar, a cinema room, a gym and a wine cellar.

Outside: a southwest-facing landscaped garden, a heated pool, a shaded barbecue area and parking for up to four cars.
